Classic/Antique Car Repair: Alternator for 1968 Jeep Wagoneer, wagoneer, buick

Question
Hello I have a 1968 Jeep Wagoneer with a 350 V-8 5.7 liter engine.  I am trying to mount the alternator but unable to do so.  I can't figure out how the brackets go.  Can you assist with a diagram on how to install?  Thanks.

David, The original V-8 engine would be a Buick 350, in which case the alternator is mounted on the passenger side.  The adjustment bracket is mounted on a bolt off the 10 o'clock position of the water pump.  The pivot point is mounted to the block or the A/C bracket as appropriate.  See the attached image.  Hope this applies to your setup.  - Rick
