Classic/Antique Car Repair: 66 chevy truck, chevy truck, paper towels

does the gas tank behind the seat have a drain plug if so where is it. and if it were you, opinion only i understand would you relocate it for safety reasons? i plan on driving it some when running, but it has sat and i need the old gas out. its a all original # matching 66 chevy truck 327 powerglide stepside.

No drain plug. I always removed sending unit panel and used paper towels after syphoning gas out.   

I have had several of these with no problems and have never heard of a safety issue. Cannot imagine where to move it to safer than the dead center of the vehicle. The only issue is fumes, and I would not let a gas tank leak fumes no matter where it was located.
