Classic/Antique Car Repair: 36 Chevy, knee action, modern cars

Question
Do you know what is the difference between a Standard vs. a Master car?  I am trying to plan a restoration and I am finding that some parts fit 1 or the other.

Answer
Mostly, the differences are in trim, options and interior fittings. The master had a longer wheelbase than the standard (113" instead of 109"). Most of the Masters had knee action front suspension, which is totally different, so those parts will be completely different.  If you have a standard, you have the older style front suspension. If you have a Master, you probably have independent front suspension, similar to modern cars.

They both used the same engine and the rest of the running gear.
