Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1929 CHRYSLER GREASE, skinned knuckles, old tractors

Question
DICK THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. I CAN'T FIND SAE 140 GL4 CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE TO FIND IT.

Answer
You're welcome, Mike.

I've always found it at NAPA stores, but it has been a couple of years since I bought it.  I don't know where you live, but out here in California, even the el-cheapo places seemed to have it last time I bought it - places like Auto-Zone, Kragen etc.

If that doesn't work for you, there are places that specialize in lubricants for older cars.  Skinned Knuckles magazine carries their ads once in a while. (a great magazine for the do it yourself car person, by the way).

If you can't find it in one of your local auto parts stores, try a farm equipment supply store - most old tractors use the same stuff.  If that fails, contact LubLine corp in Texas at 281-260-8300.  Make sure they know you want GL-4 grade.
