Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1968 mustang, classic vehicle, leaf springs

Question
I recently bought a 68 mustang.  I need to fix a problem with the rear suspension.  The wheel well hits the tire over bumps.  I have looked into new leaf springs but not sure which ones to buy.  Should I get 4 leaf or 5 leaf springs to help solve this problem.  I have also checked into having the existing ones re-bent.  What would be my best choice to fix my problem?.

Answer
Hi Tony:
Although 4 leafs was standard, 5 leafs are better with a smoother ride. Only re-bend the current springs if you are trying to keep the car in original condition. Usually new springs won't hurt the originality of a classic car. These are these are considered consumables over the life of a classic vehicle. As long as the engine, tranny, frame and external parts of original, you are OK.
