Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1940 Buick ignition, armored cable, short trip

Question
I have a 1940 Buick which will not start. No spark. There is power through the ignition switch but no power to distributor. Wire from ignition switch to coil is an armored cable which seems to be integral with coil. How can I check for continuity or other faults?

Answer
George - I see your comment about making a follow up. If I get it within the next 24 hours, I'll try to answer it, but we are leaving on a short trip tomorrow afternoon (All-Experts system time, which is GMT).  If the site won't accept your follow up, post it directly to me at dickb@sdccu.net and I'll try to get an answer back to you before we leave (we're going to the big swap meet in San Diego).   Otherwise, it will be Monday before I can get back to you.

Thanks for the kind words!

Dick
