Classic/Antique Car Repair: 65 Mustang windshild wipers and horn, mustang muscle, vocational instructor

Question
Hello, my mom just gave me back the Mustang muscle car I built in high school auto shop (first
girl to do that)... she hasn't been driving it, so we took it to a shop for a go over, and it runs great.

Both the horn and the wipers don't work. Wipers worked once yesterday, turned them on, they
worked, turned them off. but can't get them to come back on. Any general advice on a fix? (Please
include how to release the switch from the dash to check the connections.)

I've been reading your posts to other stang owners, and it's helping to refresh my memory, but I
would appreciate more!

thanks!

Answer
Kristen, what school? I spent 50 years as a vocational instructor in one form or another including high schools. In the early 60's I had several female students in auto shop and ion the 80's had the pleasure of knowing and working with a lady from Atlanta Georgia who ran a garage and had a TV program. Well to the Stang. To get the switch out of the dash unscrew the knob. Once that is done the bezel can be unscrewed and the switch should drop out. However I would check the dash ground as both the horn and the wipers depend on a good ground to work. Good luck.
