Classic/Antique Car Repair: 95 Blazer 4.3 Vortec, chevy blazer, foot valve

Question
I have a 1995 Chevy Blazer 4x4 4.3 Vortec.  First it was just not firing when it was very cold.  Now it is all the time.  It cranks, but will not fire.  My dad has already checked out the fuel pump it has 58 lbs. of pressure and holds it.  We have replaced the fuel filter, the control module, and distributor.  Still nothing.  It will only start with a shot of starting fluid.  Once its running, it runs great with no problems.  I have no check engine light on either.  It's pretty much been a process of elimination.  Maybe you could shine some light on my situation.  Thanks!

Answer
I answered this but I think the computer dropped it.

The foot valve in your carb sounds like it is leaking and draining empty. Check for gas in thew bowl by depressing trhe throttle say first thing in the morning without cranking it. Actually look for gas spray from the top
