Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1966 jeep wagoneer, jeep wagoneer, having trouble finding information

Question
I am buying a 1966 jeep wagoneer. It has been sitting where it is for about five years. Well I was wondering if you have any advice how to restore it. We havn't tryed to turn it over due to possibilities of whats inside and blowing somthing so it has flat tires but everything is there all parts nothing is missing except the intake or what ever sits onto of the engine. The engine compartment I need to clean all the debre. I noticed that the inside is the same with debre the windows were rolled down it has two spear tires. So how do you restore the engine and car Im having trouble finding information on anything on it so can you help me? Thank you

Answer
I am going to risk a bad rating and answer this one in a public forum. This sounds like the perfect car to stay away from if you either:
1. Cannot do the work your self.
2. Or have a ton of money to pay some one to do the work.
A car that has sat unprotected in the weather with the windows open and the air filter off is a disaster waiting to happen to your bank account. If is full of debris undoubtedly the critters have been nibbling away at the soft trim and the wiring. The rain and weather will have had a special place to hide and form metal chewing rust on everything including brake lines and fuel lines. And weather has been allowed into the inner sanctum of the engine. Have a trained eye look the car over before parting with any cash. Good Luck.
