Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1951 Studebaker Champion oil dipstick, studebaker champion, dip stick

I was wondering if the dipstick we have for a 1951 - 1954 Studebaker Champion will work for a 1950 version of the same model.  Thanks for your help!

The best way to check is to drain the oil and refill with the correct amount. Then use the dip stick and see what it reads. If it does not read correctly the make a notch in the dip stick showing the proper full make. You can pour the oil right back into the engine if you measure it correctly.
