Classic/Antique Car Repair: fan belts, gates belt, water pumps

Hello , thanks for your time, I'm trying to locate the part number for the fan belt for my 1938 ford flathead, it's the one that turns the fan not the water pumps, it had a gates belt but when it broke it messed up the number, thanks again

The number is just a convience. A good auto parts can replace the belt without the number if you have the old one and all the pieces.

They can also contact Gates directly and found out what belt went on it.

They can also replace the belt from a piece of string measured around the pulleys.
