Classic/Antique Car Repair: Chinese finger, j c whitney, seal installation

I need a chinese finger for some repairs on my car and I was wondering if you know where I could get one of these in the UK, if not, do you know of any other name it might be called by so that I can continue my search?

John, the package on the Chinese finger in my tool box, which is over 30 years old, reads rear main seal installation tool for rope type seals. I have no idea where over on your side of the puddle you would find one. Here I would check J. C. Whitney. You can check that on line.
