Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1976 MG midget, cluth, slave cylinder

Question
Hi, i recently bought this MG and i was told it needed a clutch, he said that it never sliped but one day it was just not there anymore. i have not looked at it to closely, but when i pushed the clutch down, there was nothing there for 3/4 of the pedal. once it was passed that, it felt like it was starting to grab, but i didnt think that a clutch just usually disapeard like that. my question is would that be the clutch its self, or the slave cylinder, or just the line, (im not shur if it has a hydrolic cluth or not, i was told there was that and a dry(ran by cable))

Answer
I'm no MG expert, but I am pretty sure it has a hydrolic clutch and it sounds like it may have run low on fluid and got air in the line.

You need to refill the reservoir and 'bleed the clutch', just like brakes and it should work. If not, send follow up.
