QUESTION: my '90 mighty max will start easily and without effort but it will only run for a few seconds,it will then start easily again. Have replaced fuel pump,filters,injectors,checked alternator and all that the manual says to do. What's wrong here??

ANSWER: I need to know how long a few seconds is? 1-2 or 20-45?

do you know if you have an electrical mechanical resister?

This sounds like a problem that went out in the 80's. The starter system had a step-down resistor that reduced the coil voltage from 12v to 8-9volts after engine started. As long  as you were starting the car, everything was fine but as soon as you let off the key it died. It would start again just fine, only to die when the key was released. If this sounds like your problem run a jumper wire from the positive side of the battery to the positive pole of the coil. then try starting it and see if it continues to run. If so, you have a resistor somewhere that is burned out. They used to run about $9.00. NOTE: BE AWARE... CAR WILL NOT DIE WITH IGNITION SWITCH WITH THIS JUMPER ON.
