QUESTION: could you please tell me why my steering wheel goes crazy turning by itself lock to lock after i changed the ram and hoses....thanks

ANSWER: Not sure I understand your question. Always include make, model, and all info you can about the vehicle you are asking about. What is your exact problem, the wheel turns by itself? sitting still? engine running? engine off? driving down the road? what lock to what lock?

QUESTION: sorry guys ....its a 1970 350 corvette auto...car is standing still and in park while the car is idling and the steering wheel goes lock to lock all by it self

Still not sure what you mean by 'lock to lock' If you mean it cycles between two of the teeth on the steering wheel lock, your fluid is not metered correctly in the ram. Check for blockage on one of the ports or a collapsed hose going from pump to ram.

Make sure pump and ram are matched for flow rates.
