Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1966 Plymouth Fury 111, disc brakes, 1966 plymouth fury

Question
I am looking for a lower ball joint arm on the above mentioned vehicle. I found something similar but it is about 1" shorter than standard, but this will affect the steering geometry too much. Would you be able to point me in the right direction and provide me with part suppliers details, please.

Answer
You don't say whether or not the car has disc brakes, and that affects which ball joint/arm you need.

For a car without disc brakes, it takes a 3004817 (right) or 3004818 (left). If your car came with disc brakes, the part numbers are 2808274 or -5, respectively.

Perhaps the one your have is for a different car?

I don't think this part would be particularly hard to find, but if the shop you deal with can't find it, try Rare Parts at www.rareparts.com  They may need your old one to rebuild, or they may have one on the shelf.  They are expensive, but they do good work.

I hope this is helpful,
