Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1964 vette wiper problem, old roach, roach clips

Question
QUESTION: Mike,
When I turn on my wiper switch, nothing happens. If I leave it on as I am driving, occasionally it goes on. Most of the time it does not work. I have a continuity tester but don"t know how to evaluate the results. The wire is hot going to the single post on the switch. Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

ANSWER: Russ,

Do you have intermittent wiper control on it?

Answer
Russ,

Man I hate electrical troubleshooting

Bad thing is I always got lucky when it came to wipers

Take a wire anywire from garage and heres what were gonna do
were gonna by-pass the switch, if it works its the switch

Set up wire so you have one end going into wiper motor and other you can cram into fuse box Id set up the wire with 2 of your old roach clips, since you have no use for them any more<wink> with fusable link in middle.

Go drive around the block or so if it stays working then its not in the wiper motor (cutting out everytime you hit bump)or comming on

Anyway if its switch you can contact paragon repoductions for new switch
