Classic/Antique Car Repair: replacing door weather stripping on 1955 weather stripping, chevrolet belair, compressible

Question
How do I turn the weather stripping ton the doors of a four door 1955 chevrolet belair?

I have tried turning it both ways, but I am not sure which is the right way.

Answer
I'm not sure how to explain it to you, but the widest, perfectly flat side is the one that gets the glue - the rounded, compressible edge is the one that contacts the other surface and cushions the impact, and seals it from air leaking through.

I hope this is clear enough - if not, we're going to have to figure out a way to send pictures!
