Classic/Antique Car Repair: door alignment, little gap, hinge

Question
Roger, I have a 1936 chevy sedan 2 door with a 3 inch chop. The doors are badly misaligned. There is very little gap between the door and back pillar and the top has too much gap. To make my problem worse, the hinge was welded to the door. Do you have any advice. Thanks jeff

Answer
Jeff;
Hi- well all I can think of , you will have to clean off all of the rust and than weld the frame to the size and fit that you will need to make it work, or can you drill and pop rivet any of it. . The best way is to weld it. or straighten the frame.
