Classic/Antique Car Repair: head light switch on 62 impala, 62 impala, headlight switch

I am needing to change my headlight switch on my 62 impala.  Although my husband said he would, he is busy with work and my patience is wearing, so I thought I would give it a shot.  However, I dont even know where the switch is located on the car.  Could you give me a quick run threw?  Thanks

Lisa;HI well if you go to the local library and look in the tech. books they should show you a step by step with photos on how to do it,  but all you will have to do is order a new switch, than the old one will un screw , as the knob will come off than there might be a lock ring holding it on so un screw that than the switch should fall out in the back than you will un plug it from the wires plugged into it. than just replace it the same way. you might blow a fuse doing it so you could un hook a battery cable before you start it.
