Classic/Antique Car Repair: Wheel stud, impala ss, heavy hammer


Question
I need to replace a wheel stud on a 1965 impala ss
it has the 12 bolt rear. What are the dimensions(Length and width) so I can order one

Hea- I'm not sure I get you- do you mean a rear  end bolt , or just the bolt that the tire goes on to, if it is just that you might get away with hitting it out with a heavy hammer or it can get pressed out , than all you  do is get the new one place it in the back line it up with the splines and than get a air wrench and socket and tighten it  up as it will draw it right into place than loosen the nut and put your wheel on.  let me know if you need more help, take the old stud with you to the parts store.  ok you might have to rent a small hand press as you do not wish to pull the axle out just for that so a tool rental would be your best bet than hammering on it too much.
