Classic/Antique Car Repair: reverse doesnt work, merry christmas, linkage

I have a 1962 T-Bird the reverse doesn't kick in.They told me that there is a way to adjust it.

HI well if it is a std. tranny you can adj. the linkage or the clutch or both. and if its a automatic, yes there is a way to adj the bands but I would recomend that you look in a book at the library or a book store as there is a bit to read up on ok.and good luck. Merry Christmas.
