Classic/Antique Car Repair: 5 litre V8 problem, holden monaro, distributer cap

i don't have an American car but you should be able to help anyway.i have a 308 5 litre v8 in a classic HJ GTS Holden Monaro.i put in a new set of spark plugs plus a new sports coil,new rotor button,new points and condenser,new distributer cap and new spark plugs.And i still can't stop it from cutting out or missing serverly when reving it out through the gears.With normal gentle driving it is fine,but when i gun it,it starts missing and farting like it was on 7 cylinders instead of 8.Do you have any ideas?it has a Holly 4 barrel 650 spreadbore carby with vaccuum secondries.Thank you.

I would re check all the plug wires and on the cap. check the point gap. dwell at 28-32 *  what did you gap plugs at. also check all vacume lines and the carb check to see that the sec. open up when you gun it. how is the fuel filter
at what rps is it missing,
