Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1969 Camaro Speedometer, detroit lockers, speedometer cable

Question
I think i found what it should be connected to, however, there is nothing to screw it onto.  It does drip fluid.  Is there something I can do about this?

Also, in regards to the type of Camaro I have...
The motor is not original.  It's a 454 Big Block.  The car was souped up before i purchased it.  It has Detroit lockers, 4-speed Muncie, tied-in rear-end, and a 4.88 gear ratio.  So, is there another way I could find out if it is a Z-28 or a S/S?

Thanks

-----Question-----
I have a 69 Camaro and am trying to install the speedometer cable.  When i took the gages out of the dash, there was no cable hooked up.  I could not find where the cable connects to the drive train.  Could you help me with this?

Aaron;
Hi  well  the cable should go in back of the speedo  , dead center than down to the tranny.there will be a small nub  like screw in for the cable. if its off it might be dripping fluid. it should be twords the tail end of it .

Answer
Aaron;
well you found it, the cable get screwed into it. you can try to put a little rubber cap or cup,etc with some tape to keep it from dripping. but that is where the end of the speed goes.  ok  and when you do hook it up do not have any kinks in it as it must be able to run smooth,>>>>
