Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1969 Camaro Identification, 1969 camaro, fire wall

  I have recently bought a 1969 Camaro.  I bought it from a friend of the families.  He's a very honest man.  He told me it was a Z-28.  It has Z-28 emblems all over it, however the fire wall tag under the hood indicates it as a SS.  It's a X-55 code.  Does this hurt its value?

no  thats is either for the epa. est. m.p.g. or the disc / tire size. its nothing  or it can also stand for a S/S
or even the dash size  10/55 so if anything its good.. ok
get me the motor markings on the right front by the right of the water pump below the head it will be stamped into the block on a small section that sticks out.
