Question
dear roger-i have an elcamino with the standard 350/auto that has sat for ten
years.after putting a new battery in it and priming it through the carb.it
started.it had a very expensive set of plugs and wires installed before it

hi- you are so lucky it started that easy. I would clean that gas tank out ,now and replace if it is bad, check all brak and gas lines, you might need brake cylds. from dry rot. also belts, and flush the rad , cooling system, and change that oil and filter today. than after you get it cleaned out add some stp to the oil and stp gas treatment too you want to get all the moisture out etc.than you can start with a good tune up and check the carb or re-build it.  ok you are so luckey it started that easy but do not rev it till you have new oil and cooling system flushed , I would let it run easy for at least 500 miles till everything sets up also you might need valve seals. but wait and see.
