-----Answer-----
is it solid or hyd. lifters/cam/

Answer
if you have hyd. than all you have to do is take one at a time loosen the rocker till it clacks than turn it in till it stops than 1/2 to 3/4 a turn more and do it slow as it can stall , if so thats nornal do each one that way but no more than 3/4 of a turn and as far as the carb are the plugs all wet with gas and do you have a lot of blue smoke ?
