Classic/Antique Car Repair: 66 barracuda, ballast resistor, wire connections

Question
i lost power on 66 cuda to the ignition.

Answer
To track down the problem, temporarily connect an extra wire from the + terminal of the battery to the + terminal of the coil.  If the car will run OK then, you know the problem is in the wire from the "I" terminal on the ignition switch to the + terminal of the coil, which goes through the ballast resistor.  So, either the ignition switch has failed, or the ballast resistor has failed, or one of the wire connections isn't making good contact.

Don't leave the temporary wire on the coil - you won't be able to turn the engine off, and you will overheat the coil and the points by runnning it that way permanently.
