Classic/Antique Car Repair: Freeze plugs, mustang 289, auto parts store

Question
I was tinkering with my 68 Mustang 289 (original, not rebuilt, 83K miles) and found a freeze plug starting to leak.  I read your answer about sealant use before tapping in the new plug, but how do I remove the old one?

Hi  if it is not a bad leak I would try this first, go to a auto parts store or k-mart,etc and get a jar of BARRS STOP LEAK it might just do the trick, if not you will have to pry or poke a hole in it and pry it out, it is a pain some times but get back to me if you need help ok the stop leak might just help you, it will take a few days to work.
get back to me if you need more help  ok
