Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1963 comet starter switch, starter solenoid, solinoid

Question
i have bought brand new starter switch installed it and the car is still not turning over it has power and the car will start from solinoid but seems like no power from switch to turn car over help please thank.

Answer
Check the two small wires on the starter solenoid - make sure you don't have them reversed. The one that operates the solenoid should be connected to the ignition switch "S" terminal - if it isn't, or the ignition switch has failed, the car won't crank.

So the bottom line is, either your ignition switch has failed, or the wire from the "S" terminal isn't getting to the "S" terminal on the solenoid.
