Classic/Antique Car Repair: 66 impala, spark plug wires, firing order

I am having problems with the wiring as I send my new toy to the shop for a tune up since I didn't have time to do it, and now I think the wires are wrong as it ran fine before but sat for over 2 yrs. I am looking for the wiring specs to check it myself. Thanks Laura

I need to know which wires you are talking about, and also which engine the car has. If you are asking about the firing order of the spark plug wires, and if your car is the 8 cylinder engine, the firing order is 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2, and the cylinders are numbered 1 3 5 7 front to rear on the driver's side, and 2 4 6 8  front to rear on the passenger's side.
