Classic/Antique Car Repair: closed driveline bushing replace, drive shaft, driveline

Question
Sir.
I have a 1951 Chevrolet one half ton pickup and I would like to replace the bushing at the front of the closed driveline. All my information I have say's I have to entirely dissamble the rear end so I can remove the interior drive shaft and then remove the bushing. Is there any way I can remove this bushing from the front. Disconnecting the drive line is no problem as the body is off the frame.

Thanks
Jerry

HI - I would think it would be a lot faster to do it that way but as far as I know the only way is out the back , it is due to the way the shaft goes. And if the body is off the frame you got it easy.  ok and watch any bearings . replace anything that you think might be worn.
so you will not have any trouble later   >>>>
