Classic/Antique Car Repair: 64 vette wiper, wiper arms, wiper switch

Question
64 corvette. Wipers did work on occasion last year. Am getting juice to one of the three wires that hook into the wiper switch and will get a clicking noise at the wiper motor. Any idea what may be wrong? Thanks for the help

Answer
I can only guess, without being there, but my first guess would be something is preventing the motor from turning, and the clicking you hear is a circuit breaker, turning off the power intermittently to prevent a fire or overheating the motor.  Take all the mechanism off the motor and see if the motor will run all by itself.  If it will, then start tracking down what is blocking things from moving the wiper arms.

If the motor won't move, even with the linkage disconnected, there is probably a problem inside the motor, or else one of the wires isn't making good contact. Beyond that, I can't help much - someone is going to have to track this down for you - an auto-electric shop is your best bet.
