Classic/Antique Car Repair: Finding Repair Services, hi performance, routine maintenance

Question
I just bought a 1968 Malibu.  How do I go about finding someone that will provide routine maintenance or repair services?  Local Chev dealer says no.  Nothing in Yellow pages.  Thanks.  John

Answer
 Hea John,
First off "where do you live" where they will not work on your car? I would think that most any repair shop would be happy to have a car like that to work on , I can understand a dealer not doing it but try the local repair shops , and look for the guys that are around 50 yrs of age , they will love to do it.You do not want a young kid that dos'nt know about it but a older mech. should be glad to do it.Also if it is all stock with no hi performance items, you will find someone. That is a nice car to work on it has a lot of room under the hood. have all hoses and belts checked, keep the oil and filter changed apx. every 2000 miles and it should last you .
