Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1962 impala goodwrench motor, carbarator, edelbrock intake

Question
I bought a goodwrench motor.  But it runs very rough and stalled with new r43ts spark plugs.  I installed some r45ts plugs runs way better,  no more stalling but still runs just a little bet rough and sometimes wants to die.  Would installing r46ts help.  The heads are 72cc and the compresion has a 8.0:1 compression ratio.  I don't know if that will help.  has a edelbrock intake and stock q-jet carb.

Answer
I would not switch to many plugs , what is your gap-try to close it -if it is I.E. 35 make it 32 or 33 -example - also what is the timing ? that might have to go up just a lil more than stock,  and did you adj the carbarator ? and if you have solid lifters-  I hope you have them right but if hyd. lifters the reg. adj. is ok. try that stuff ok
