Classic/Antique Car Repair: 62 cadillac sedan deville radio, vacuum tube radio, cadillac sedan deville

Question
The power light comes on, the antenna goes up and down, the powered tuner station finder moves but no sound...No static, faint noise, etc.  All the symptoms of unhooked speaker but I'm curious as to the best way to get at the connections without needing back surgery!  Are there any inherant easy fixes?  I'm in Butte, Mt. Thankyou for your time!!!

It's possible that the speaker wire may have come disconnected or the speaker could be defective. This radio may be a vacuum tube radio or a hybred with tubes and transistors. Please contact me by direct Email for more details about this radio.
