Classic/Antique Car Repair: 69 Camaro, 69 camaro, leaf spring

Question
My 69 Camaro is the coupe with all origonal stuff. powerglide 2 speed trans [rebuilt]. 250 six [tired, over 200,000 Miles.]. p/steer, man brakes. decent body. Runs good.I'm retiring in Florida in 3 months & plan to use ir as a driver & work on it. I want to keep it stock because I was told its value is more that way and gas is going through the roof. What do you think? as I have to either rebuild the engine, or get a crate 250 replacement. I have the mono leaf spring set up.

Answer
 Hi Dave;

         If I were you I think I would go for the crate 250
as it is only a 6 cyld. and you are not going to put a v-8 in it or build a v-8 into a hot rod so a motor built in a crate is a good move go for it.ok
