Classic/Antique Car Repair: car title, 57 chevy bel air, chevy bel air

I have a strange question I don't know if you can help but I don't know who to ask. I was wonering if you know if there is any way to search for an old car and it's wherabouts through the name on the title. I'm looking for a 57 chevy bel air that my parents owned back then to see if it is even still around and what happened to it.
I also have another question about rebuilding an old car and laws concerning seat belts in rebuilt cars pre 1974. Thanks.

as far as the title do you have a old regastration from it
if so you should have no trouble finding it. or what happen to it .
As far as seat belts in old cars I think if the car did not have them in it from the factory it dosn't need them.
