Do you know of a repair shop that can help me with my 1986 Vette? GM service dealers will not work on GM cars over 10 yrs. old..... My car has a skip.... It just started a week ago.... I took the Vette to two shops.... they were not able to find the problem...... Help!!!

If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, I've got you covered.  If not, then I wouldn't have any way to help you.  There are undoubtedly several forums on the web that are devoted specifically to the Corvette.  I find that after you register, then you can ask exactly a question like this, exactly with the background you've provided, and I guarantee someone will give you a lead.

As for me, I try my very best to do all my own work...it kills my to pay those labor charges, especially when the majority of that work is merely removing and replacing stuff that's in the way so the real problem can be accessed.  However, sometimes I really get stumped and I always go to;
