Classic/Antique Car Repair: 66 mustang steering, discount auto parts, steering box

I HAVE A 66 MUSTANG I AM RESTORING. IT HAS POWER STEERING BUT IT SEEMS LIKE THE STEERING BOX HAS TOO MUCH PLAY. I CANNOT ADJUST IT OUT. DO YOU KNOW IF REBUILD PARTS ARE AVAILABLE? A NEW BOX WILL COST NEAR $500. SENDING IT OUT OF STATE TO REBUILD WILL COST $200 OR SO. I CANNOT FIND A SUPPLIER FOR PARTS.

This is not something to play with yourself.  Send it to a qualified rebuilder and you will be much safer.   $200 sounds like about the right price. Have you checked the local discount auto parts places?   Some of them are quite cheap for things like this, and the rebuild quality seems about as good as the expensive places such as NAPA.
