Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1968 rebel 770 Amc, rapid city south dakota, plug gap

Question
Hi I am always being given old cars fix what i can and drive till someone has to have it. I have recently gotten a rebel 770 with a straight 6 I have gone thru everything but I cant seem to find the firing order.  I am to the point i need to get it running, I am building this one for my wife to drive in the state fair derby in Rapid City South Dakota. I give it to her I am not sure a unibody is the way to go so it is just for kicks beings they couldnt find the title what a shame it was beautiful condition for sitting 23 year but wants to run if you have and suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Answer
Hi, I'm back on duty again.

I hope you didn't put this thing in the derby - that would have been a crying shame.  It is not hard to get a title for any car - there are outfits that advertise title service in any old car magazine.   If you want to do this and can't find them, ask me and I'll track one down for you..

Or else, you can sell it on eBay without a title - just give the new owner a bill of sale and let him worry about it.  These are great cars - run forever and sip very little gas.  They even look pretty nice!  You won't get rich off it, but you will get $1500 or so, and you'll save a 36 year old car!  Somebody will love it.

The firing order is 153624 dwell angle 32-34 degrees, timed to 5 BTC, plug gap .035.

Good Luck to you, whatever.
