Classic/Antique Car Repair: chevy head identification, code stamp, google

Question
I am attempting to identify the heads on my 1962 327ci engine.  The symbol on the end of the head is a triangle that sits on top of a rectangle.  Where can I find out what this means?  Thank you for your help.
Ken

Answer
It is probably a vendors code stamp, telling which foundry cast the head.

The casting number is the real controlling identifier.     The usual way to indentify heads is by the casting number.    Your engine should have 3747460 heads, I believe.

Go to google search engine, and just type in the casting number - chances are the info will come right back to you.

Sorry not to be more help.
