SORRY.....I didn't take your advice and run from buying the 84 Cadillac. Got it real cheap, and it's like new. The power antenna was ripped off, and I want to replace it. I was told that you can acess it through the wheel well, but don't know how. I see a plate but don't know how to get it off. I want to replace it with a non power antenna, see any problems?

This car is just a little too new for me to be familiar with - if you cannot figure out how to remove the access plate, you'd best contact someone in the Cadillac-LaSalle club for help.  You'll find them a bunch of very nice people, who really know these cars from the inside out.
