Dodge Repair: Front axle 01 dodge, dodge ram 1500, propeller shaft

QUESTION: Hello. I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500. Because the axle seal leak it let water and mud in my axle. So I rip it apart replace all bearing. And the bushing that dodge list for the right side. So I bought the seal tool. Same one dealer use. To in stall oem seal. Well after hr of drive time it leaking. So I pulled the cad housing to see why. Didn't see no rips. There little move ment in there. I figure this got be normal cuz of the cad collar is the only thing that support the right outer axle? I know the seal in right. I pop it out to see if I missed anything. I found the rubber of the seal to be little oblong. I know it wasn't that way when I install it. I don't know of any part that support this outter axle other then wheel hub and that cad collar. Every thing new other then the axle cad collar. I replace every part including the shift fort with a posi lock system. So I am I over looking some that going in there. Or I am I doom to have the axle drip forever?

I found your question in the 'pool' to which it had been referred by the other expert, Kevin.
I am not familiar with the trucks, but I do have the '04  Ram manual to reference. The driveline chapter has these sections about the front: propeller shaft, half shaft, front axle C205F, and front axle 9 1/4 AA. These total to 80 pages so I can't go through all these to find what your problem is without knowing which of those 4 sections might apply to your problem. Can you tell me which?
Do you believe that the '04 Ram 1500 manual applies to your '01?

QUESTION: I am not sure if the 04 the same or not. Most of what I know of Research this is from 94 to 01 have the same Dana 44 in them. If the 04 has right side two peace axle set up should be the same. But my mail is gollnerscott at yahoo com. I ll take any help I can get. There 3 dodge deal ship around me. None can tell me anything. It seem I know more then they do about this axle. They went far ask me if I change the outer axle seal. Lol there not one. Nor do they make one for the front for those years. Thank you Roland for help me out.  Sorry I can't any your question any better. Everything I know I have said. This drive me nuts and I just want fix.

Hi Scott,
If you would check at a dealer parts counter to see if the '04 is like your '01 or not then I would be able to send you the pages. And also which of the two front axles that I listed is like yours? There is nothing mentioned about a Dana 44 so I still don't know whether what I have would be useful.
