Dodge Repair: Rear parking brake cable., parking brake cable, postal mail

Question
Need to know how to change the rear parking brake cable both sides for a 1997 Dodge Intrepid? Are there any special tools you need to do this? Thank You.

Answer
Hi Bob,
There are three pieces to the cabling from the lever to the rear wheel and a tensioner as well. The rear part of the cable procedure involves about a dozen steps in each direction of the process. I have the '98 manual as a hard copy that I can copy about 4 pages from and send by postal mail to you. Alternatively, I have the '04 manual on a CD that I can copy the pages from and attach them to an email. But to do that I need to know either a postal address or an email address. And to do that you need to ask a NEW question (not a follow-up) and click on the box to make the question PRIVATE. Then in the question's text you need to tell me one or the other address. I believe the '04 manual is identical to the '98 manual so either way you prefer. No special tools appear to be needed.
Do you need to just change the rear-most section of both cables?
Thanks.
Roland
PS Thanks for the rating/nomination. Do let me know if you want the instructions.
