Dodge Repair: Turn signals: 91 Intrepid (LH body), fuse box, dodge intrepid

Question
Good morning Roland my question to you is I have a 2001 Dodge intrepid es the problem is that when i use my turn signals let are right after flashing for a moment it [the light] will stop flashing and just stay on solid lit and it really only does it when it's hot outside are when it is used a lot is it the relay? Help me out please.

Answer
Hi Terance,
If the turn signals are behaving as you describe on both the left and right side, and if the hazard lights option behaves the same, then I would believe that the combination flasher is the cause. You could examine fuse O (20 amp) in the power box under the hood and fuse 9 (10 amp) in the fuse box behind the dash on the left side to see if either of those is cracked or poorly connected in its socket. But so long as the fuses are good and all the flashing systems choices are impaired then the combination flasher is the likely problem.

Thanks,
Roland
