Dodge Repair: Mirror turn signal replacement, dodge ram 1500, manual drawings

Question
I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab Sport.  Thanks to a suicidal bird, the lens on the driver side mirror turn signal is gone.  I had to order a new turn signal assembly for that mirror.  I'm not great at working on vehicles so you can please tell me how to replace the driver side turn signal assembly in the mirror.  Thanks.

Hi Todd,
The latest manuals I have are for '06 and '07 but I will look at those to see if they show the mirror part that you are dealing with. If it is the same on those earlier years then that will be helpful to you.
Follow-up:
I could only find info on how to remove the mirror entirely so let me know if that is what you might need to have the pages about. I didn't find anything about the turn signal module inside the mirror itself. You may well find details about the structure of the mirror and how to open it by going to the parts counter at the dealership and asking to look at the parts manual drawings showing the parts you need to replace.
