Dodge Repair: 2005 Dodge Durango / lower a/c valve location, 2005 dodge durango, dodge durango

Question
I'd like to add some freon to my a/c to see if this is why it's not working.  The upper a/c valve is easily located and accessed but the lower valve is no where to be seen.  I saw a diagram that looks like it may be be towards the rear of the engine compartment passenger side.  Where is it and how do I get to it?  Thanks!

Answer
Hi Jim,
The two lines both originate at the rear of the compressor. So look at the line that is other than the one you already located the valve in and follow that other line until you find the valve. The only specific suggestion was that the suction valve may be on the 'top of the engine'. I am sorry to not be more specific than that. By upper I assume you mean the liquis/high pressure line which is not the valve you want to use to install refrigerant. I would believe that an '05 system uses R-134 and so the application kit will only fit such R-134 fittings.
Please 'rate' my answer (see below).
Thanks
Roland
