how do you remove the window crank without a window crank tool ? My window has came off the track .

Answer
The window crank is held onto the gear assembly by a horseshoe clip. To remove it without the tool, get a wash cloth or rag and slide it between the handle and the plastic washer from the knob end of the handle. then just pull the rag around the base of the crank and the clip should come out. Be careful though, these clips have a tendency to fly away when this is done. Also, it may take several attempt before you get the clip out.
