Dodge Repair: Check Engine Light, obd, hoses

Question
I have a 2002 neon, and the check engine light is now coming on.  I do not have the code that my code reader pulls with me, but it says something like a minor leak in hose or something to that effect. If I disconnect battery, it will go anywhere between 50-150 miles before coming on again.  What is the normal cycle to rest the OBD on this car.  Do you think this is the Cat or O2 sensor?  How can I narrow the problem down without spending big $$$ just for a shop to diagnose?  The car has 80,000 miles on it.  Thanks, Dennis

Answer
From the description of the code you retrieved I believe you have a small leak in the evaporative system. In order to properly diagnose where the leak is you will need to take the car to a repair shop. Unless you'd rather spend a lot of time and money replacing all the evaporative hoses and related components one at a time until the light finally stays out.
